Tees Archaeology and local volunteers are excavating next to Morison Hall. St. Hilda's Church is on the right of the picture. Towards the center of the picture there is clear evidence of some timber medieval structures. The wood has long since decayed - only the post holes remain to indicate where the buildings were.
