The Battery looking North - The staircase and some of the building.

The Battery-in side the building

Here you can see part of the gun placement and the stairs that lead up to it. These stairs go down into what would have once been a covered set of rooms, with doors leading out to the courtyard and other areas of the battery. You can also sadly see the graffiti and the poor condition of the Battery and how its been mistreated over the years. Thankfully this should now stop as a group of outstandingly determined volunteers are now taking care of the battery and restoring it to its former glory.
