Skelton Park mines

Skelton Park mines now disused. They are however, the most complete of all Cleveland ironstone mines. Two large shafts, large combined winding & pumping house, boiler site, chimney base, schiele fan house, offices & managers house survive. The site was accessed by railway, which continues round past the site to the northern slopes of the hill where the Park mine stood.
