Newton Bewley

February 1984. Newton Bewley was first recorded in the 14th century. The village takes the form of two rows of properties, originally facing each other over a central green, although this has now been obliterated by the A689 dual carriage way. Some surviving examples of ridge and furrow. Some medieval property frontages.
