Wycliffe, Thorpe in Wycliffe

Deserted Medieval village of Thorpe in Wycliffe, first mentioned in the Domesday Book. The earthworks of the village are low and poorly preserved under pasture(1999). They are located to the north of Thorpe Hall in the field at the top of the escarpment leading down to the River Tees.
