Kirk Merrington

The church of St John's, Merrington, had a tower springing from the centre of the nave on two Norman arches. The church was entirely taken down and rebuilt in 1850, though Norman arches still remain built into the C19 fabric. Several examples of ridge and furrow in surrounding fields.
