Documentary sources date site to 1304. In 1366 the manorial complex was assigned to Isabel, the Widower of Walter de Fauconberg. The site survives today as a series of earthworks which include the foundations of buildings , enclosures and ponds. At the centre of the enclosure are the foundations of a large L-Shaped building. It is 40m long by 14m wide and divided into at least 2 compartments. The central house is flanked by a series of water filled ditches, interpreted as a moat or pond. The remains of a dovecote can be seen at the south end of the site.
