Deserted Medieval village of Amerston Hall, in the parish of Elwick Hall, Hartlepool. Complex series of ditches surrounding an enclosure and moat. Prounced ridge and furrow field system also visible which run up and are truncated by the ditches in parts. First known Lord of Manor, Gilbert Hansard 1153-95.
